The government has condemned the epidemic in “cultural applause”
Of the billions of dollars disbursed by the government over the past two years over the value of the epidemic, Guido believes DCMS needs to reflect their role in transferring cash to dubious culture and arts programs. Research by Taxpayers Alliance Now it appears that the government has slashed more than 1 1 billion in cultural grants in 2020-21. 1,367,422,599 to be exact …
While these figures are bleak compared to total Treasury spending during that time, looking at specific shows and programs that raise funds will raise eyebrows among Tory ranks. According to Wankes’ research, the funds from the Cultural Restoration Fund, the National Heritage Memorial Fund and the Arts Council of England were:
- At £ 18,966 ‘Family sex show’ Features nudity and discussion for children under five. “Pleasure, weirdness, sex, sex and relationships ”
- £ 254,091 for the sick! Productions, who are currently a “Ejaculation Falls Participation Call Out ” Where they are looking for six “Participate in creating and presenting Ejaculation Falls, exploring their experiences or experiences of sexuality and pleasure.”
- £ 16,724 has been paid “Pex Drag Kings”, “An all-female / non-binary theater and cabaret company ” That produces “Sexy, rude and extremely entertaining” show.
- £ 181,438 to “Bureau of Silly Ideas “, An organization describes itself as “the creator of”Inspires insanity and controls public chaos. ” Their recent work consisted mainly of squirting with water in a garbage bin. To be fair it actually seems like panto-like entertainment for kids, so why subsidize it?
Its Elliott Cake Taxpayers Alliance Guido says, “Taxpayers are annoyed to see their hard-earned cash wasted on cultural palms.”
“Since the economy is in real danger during the epidemic, the funds could be used elsewhere instead of these unreasonable projects.
“The government must bring down the veil of wasteful spending before demanding more money from working taxpayers.”
Nudity and weird theater for five year olds. At least our eye tax burden is being spent on the essentials …
